Work in Val Thorens this winter
The ESF in Val Thorens is looking for British ski instructors to come and work this winter, and in the future. Val Thorens is a dynamic, exciting resort, which is developing fast. As the highest resort in Europe, it has a long season. If you're qualified to work as a stagiere, or as a fully qualified instructor, why not come to Val Thorens this winter? See details below.
Val Thorens is part of the Three Valleys ski area, and as the highest ski resort in Europe, it has a long season - from 22nd November 2014 to 10th May 2015.

These are exciting times for the resort, as it develops fast. There are now three five star hotels, and the 800-bed Club Med Sensations is due to open in December 2014. The highest zip wire in the world opened last season, and got people talking about Val Thorens.

For the last few seasons, I've been the only British ski instructor in Val Thorens. I work at the ESF, but get a lot of private lesson requests through my website. For 2014-15, the ski school is going to be busier than ever, with clients from the big new Club Med hotel as well as all the existing clients.
Jean-Paul Rapin, the director of the ESF in Val Thorens, would like to recruit one or more British instructors. You would have to be qualified to work in France, either as a stagiere, or a fully-qualified ISTD. (The requirements for France are set out in this BASI article). Please check if you have the required qualification before getting in touch. Being able to speak French is not essential.
You would get work from the ski school, and I would be able to pass private clients to you, as I have more enquiries than I can accept in some weeks.
