Val Thorens has developed a new brand, Val Thorens United. It is a result of the tourist office's work on the resort's 'brand positioning' - the perception of Val Thorens, and its essential DNA.
The 'brand positioning' is a strategic choice of a credible, different, and attractive position within the ski market, Grégory Guzzo, director of the tourist office in Val Thorens, told Belleville Info.
He spent two years preparing the new strategy, seeking the opinion of 5,000 clients, as well as the professionals who work in the resort, and tour operators. The result of the consultation is an image of Val Thorens, in the eyes of its clients, as a young and pioneering resort, with a spirit of innnovation; the highest in Europe, with a remarkable snow record, and lots of sunshine; good for all levels of skier and boarder; with a unique atmosphere - musical and festive; and a multicultural melting-pot, but with a team spirit...Val Thorens United.
Val Thorens United is a now a registered trademark, designed to represent the best of skiing, and the best atmosphere - snow in colour. (La neige en couleurs has been translated by the tourist office as multi-coloured snow, which perhaps isn't quite right!)
